The exam feedback reports are rich with tips and advice on how to not fail the AMC MCQ Exam. They are also very long, so here at PassAMC we have taken the liberty of summarising the most common pitfalls and and how to avoid them.
This is what to do:
- Read the case.
- Then read the actual question, and spot exactly what is being asked – as you now know, the addition of a single word can change the entire meaning of the question
- Then, go back to your case, and spot the clues.
- Then if it is an EMQ look at your answers. Are any so obviously wrong that you can discount them from the outset.
- Can you spot which guideline might be relevant?
- Finally, can you link the clues to the best answer?
- Be weary of recalls - they are often recited incorrectly and factually inaccurate.
